Inspiration Story. Our Story

Imagine if you will, Palermo, Sicily in 1890. Founded by Phoenician traders in the 8th century BC, it was a city alive with passionate, receptive, family-oriented people who believed in living life to the fullest. Meals were leisurely; enjoyed with extended family and friends. Communication, robust and open, came naturally to Stephen A. Balistreri, a vibrant man who delivered goods to local merchants in Palermo & Aspra. Always enjoying his days as he made his stops, Mr. Balistreri’ s customers were friends. They would greet him with a kiss on each cheek to which he replied “CINDANZ!” ( /,chin;’danz/) Cindanz, (Health and Happiness for 100 years) became a way of expressing gratitude and appreciation for the simple things in life.

Dino J. Balistreri, Stephen’s great grandson, now-visionary and founder of Cindanz, ( /,chin;’danz/) as a child prodigy enjoyed regaling stories of his Nonno & Nanna. With all the current events happening we now see the world coming full circle: back to family, health, quality and delivering great products on time. Cindanz is reviving the old-world traditions of thankfulness, helpfulness, and customer service forever!
